Our Home
Alandale is a family run, modern, purpose built residential home for elderly ladies and
gentlemen. We specialise in providing high quality long-term, short stay, convalesence and day care. Situated in
the quiet village of Whitfield on the outskirts of Dover, Alandale is just a stone's throw from local amenities,
including the village shop & post office, public transport and local pub. We have large, open plan lounge areas
and adjoining dining room, with no change of levels on either floor. The design of the building creates a safe, warm and homely
atmosphere whilst still remaining bright and spacious. There are, of course, areas available to our clients, such as the
newly built orangery, where they may entertain their guests privately.

Our Accommodation
The Home has 32 comfortable and well furnished bedrooms, a number of which are
en-suite. Rooms are decorated and furnished to a very high standard and clients are welcome to bring personal
items and effects, including furniture, if they wish. A television, nurse call system and vanity unit are standard facilities
in each bedroom. There are plenty of bathrooms and WC's, with special facilities for wheelchairs and those of limited mobility.
Each bathroom incorporates a bath hoist designed for safe, comfortable and hygienic use. Although bathing is supervised, our
staff are sensitive to the need for periods of privacy, where our clients can relax and enjoy their bath
